The Topçu family entered commercial life when Ali Reis Topçu left the captain's office in the late 1800s and started wholesale food - weighbridge sales in Rize.

In 1923, Dursun Topçu, who was the first driver of Rize, started the hardware-glass trade, and the development in commercial life continued. The third generation, Mehmet, Yaşar, İbrahim, and İsmail Topçu brothers; In addition to the sale of construction materials, hardware, glass, and electrical materials started the manufacturing of rubber shoes.

The family founded Mehmet-Yaşar Topçu and Brothers Collective Company in Istanbul in 1957, which later turned into Topçular Hardware Company, and shifted its business to Istanbul in 1966.

Reis Makina, which carries out its activities mostly based on the Turkish distributorship of well-known foreign products in international markets, started its operations in Karaköy-Istanbul in 1981 as the second company of the family.

Since 1992, Reis Makine had undertaken the Turkey distributorship of Makita Corporation, one of the world's largest manufacturers of power tools. Reis Makina, by taking out the distributorship of many other global brands besides Makita, expanded its current business volume further by moving its headquarters from Karaköy Persembe Market to Sancaktepe in 2005.

Reis Makina, started its activities in the field of metalworking machines in 2003, by creating its registered brand Ozco in 2016. After the merger of all hardware tools and activities under the roof of Reis Makina in 2018, Topçular Hırdavat established Topçular Endüstriyel Üretim ve Yatırım A.Ş company. The Company started its activities with a vision of providing innovative solutions without compromising on quality and developing strategies specific to its sector and took over the Ozco brand from its sister company, Reis Makina, in 2021. In the same year, the production of tapping benches in the Istanbul/Sancaktepe center and band saws in the Konya facility were started. In addition to domestic production, the Ozco brand has reached the widest machine tool portfolio in Turkey with nearly 250 machines from more than 20 global manufacturers.
